After nearly a decade as a fitness professional and thousands of hours spent coaching I’ve come to recognize some universal truths about training:

  1. Movement quality matters. You need a trainer that recognizes what you are and are not capable of and how to properly progress you over time.

  2. You need to have goals and be clear about why you want to achieve them.

  3. Consistency, no matter how small, is a prerequisite to your success. This is only possible if you develop an interest and ultimately a love for exercise. Having a trainer guide you through that process is invaluable.
